purifier

The Bible says:
'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.'

This
verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this
statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study. That
week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch
him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her
interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver. As
she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire
and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to
hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest
so as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God
holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse
that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the
silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there front of the fire
the whole time the silver was being refined.
The man answered that
yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to
keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the
silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?' He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.' .If
today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his
eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.Every moment, God is watching over us.

Let the wise think!!

Today a few angry UP villagers burnt a leapord to death!!

"The charred body of the leopard was recovered after the house was completely razed," district forest officer KK Singh told rediff.com on Friday morning. "In fact, we had promptly rushed a team to trap the animal shortly after we learnt about the leopard's strike on Thursday, but the locals not only disallowed our men to even enter the village but also misbehaved with them,"  Singh added.

State chief wildlife conservator DNS Suman maintained, "Legal action will be initiated against the mob responsible for killing the leopard; we have already told local officials to get a criminal case registered." Suman added, "No one has the right to take the law into his hands, and in this case our men were already on the job and would have managed to trap the animal alive if the villagers had not come in the way."

Assuming all these statements true, as the media projects, I have a few doubts:

1. The leapord had been entering the village for three weeks

2.It has killed 3 people over the three weeks.

3.Unconfirmed reports blame the animal for killing at least two other persons between January and March.

Now, whose fault is this? Against whom should the legal action be initiated? Having lost 5 people in three weeks (who knows how many of the 5 are bread winners?), and with no help, what would the villagers do? Wait until a few more are also lost? Isn't their anger/fury right?

Let him that is wise think!!

My opinion: I feel the anger is actually the displaced anger.Poor leapord, it was victimised!!

Football and humanlife......

The game of football…..
Hits and kicks of both teams
With occasional proud beams…
-The pride of winning a goal!
Yet, on the ball, not a smile!
Searches…..
Gazes……..
Of Peter, Paul on the field
And John, Mathew on their seats;
For the rolling mass
To convince her to gain a bliss
Or to convict the opponent of an amiss…

Destiny…..
Applause if won
Hurray! The cup is ours
But, whose is she?
I plead…..
Let her roll and explore
To her heartfelt desire
At least, before there are hits and kicks
And many a winning tricks!
Let her roll and explore!!

The unusual teacher

This afternoon I had to meet my boss and update him on my ongoing work..

I took the lift in my office to meet him. The cleaner aunty also shared the lift with me...She was in her uniform, with the mop and bucket they usually have with them...She also had a dusting towel, must be an alcoholic wipe....Here,each of them area lloted a specific area to take care of.  I have never seen her in my workplace, so I know that it was not her place of work...Anyway,I smiled at her(with a pride of generosity),as I usually do...It was only the two of us in the lift.2sec in the lift, all of a sudden she pulled out her wipe and started wiping the door of the lift, consciously looking around the lift for any dusts.I am damn sure nobody knows if she did that or not.....There were no survellience camera.....It was not her work area,either....And we are aware of how they are paid, too. So,her gesture was devoid of expectations, devoid of supervisions, devoid of appreciations, only her satisfaction of leaving the place neat!! I felt humble....I waited for the oppurtunity of her looking at me and  smiled again. This time, a humble smile, the pride of sharing the lift with a sincere, woman, who respects herself and her work. In a world where we complain about whatever work is allotted to us, in a world where we weigh our works over positions and packages, in a world where the Boss rules, and without rules we don't work,In a world where our sincerity calls for perks,  People like her are rare...........They are Silent teachers, Silent winners......And,Always, a step walked is worth a mile talked!!!!

MOTHER..............THE SCHOOL OF LIFE

Committed to life,
And passionate in love,
Here is an innocent woman,
The school who gives the best,
Not a penny taxed;

No complaints;no grudges;
Does she inflict,
Even when her kids unwind,
And never be kind!

But continues beingherself,
As unique as the sun,
Who nurtures life,

inspite of recognitions!!

Enjoys motherhood,
Even if it is painful!!!
That's she- a perfect mother,
Who smiles,smiles!!!
Keeps smiling

Even when her family fails her!!!!!

Instincts........

Strings of life...
Instincts of realisation,
 The harder, the farther,
 The humble, the higher,
 The silent,the louder,
 Stories of failures..
 Except for a few..
 To whom..
Adversaries are oppurtunities,
Plunge them down,
 They do rise!
 Greater the thrust,
Greater their altitudes,
If not, attitudes,
 Aristrocratic class,
 They do belong to...
Not in economy,
 Not in the society,
But in their invis(nc)ible thoughts and actions!!

P.N.: While a few live by lamenting about a lost life, there are still a species who live hard to move far frm where they are........the more humble they are, the higher they reach....the silent they are, the louder they are spoken of...they belong to the aristrocratic class............

Adulteration of LIFE!!!!

Lonely did I stand

Amidst an adulterated mankind....

Drops of venom

Sheepishly disturbing my original form

To live an 'everybody's' life

At the cost of soul at knife....

Negative transformations.......

Meaningless negotiations.......

Compromises....

Painful compromises.....

My musing dove's pinion

Lost to fear of peer opinion

Cancerous irresponsibility........

Shrugging off with a casual "Why should I?"

Dreams clouded with desires.........

Tenderness hidden behind selfish attires......

Narrowed is my once wide world

Unorganised choices- this crippling helpes........

Reminiscing the past..

How sweet are those once bitter years lost?

Oh,How I wish I break my doldrums

And wake up to a world of sunbeams!!!

Dear Lord,Please heal my wounded soul

Before I lose to a game of foul!!!

Manish Pitambare and Sanjay Dutt

Courtesy:  http://bigbangbong.wordpress.com/2007/02/01/manish-pitambare-and-sanjay-dutt/

By the time you read this news, the body of Major Manish Pitambare, who was shot dead at Anantnag, would have been cremated with full military honors.

On Tuesday, this news swept across all the news channels ’Sanjay Dutt relieved by court’. ’Sirf Munna not a bhai’ ’13 saal ka vanvaas khatam’ ’although found guilty for possession of armory, Sanjay can breath sigh of relief as all the TADA charges against him are withdrawn’ Then many personalities like Salman Khan said ’He is a good person. We knew he will come out clean’. Mr Big B said “Dutt’s family and our family have relations for years he’s a good kid. He is like elder brother to Abhishek”. His sister Priya Dutt said “We can sleep well tonight. It’s a great relief”

In other news, Parliament was mad at Indian team for performing bad; Greg Chappell said something; Shah Rukh Khan replaces Amitabh in KBC and other such stuff. But most of the emphasis was given on Sanjay Dutt’s “phoenix like” comeback from the ashes of terrorist charges. Surfing through the channels, one news on BBC startled me. It read “Hisbul Mujahidin’s most wanted terrorist ’Sohel Faisal’ killed in Anantnag , India . Indian Major leading the operation lost his life in the process. Four others are injured”.

It was past midnight, I started visiting the stupid Indian channels, but Sanjay Dutt was still ruling. They were telling how Sanjay pleaded to the court saying ’I’m the sole bread earner for my family’, ’I have a daughter who is studying in US’ and so on. Then they showed how Sanjay was not wearing his lucky blue shirt while he was hearing the verdict and also how he went to every temple and prayed for the last few months. A suspect in Mumbai bomb blasts, convicted under armory act…was being transformed into a hero.

Sure Sanjay Dutt has a daughter; Sure he did not do any terrorist activity. Possessing an AK47 is considered too elementary in terrorist community and also one who possesses an AK47 has a right to possess a pistol so that again is not such a big crime; Sure Sanjay Dutt went to all the temples; Sure he did a lot of Gandhigiri but then………..

Major Manish H Pitambare got the information from his sources about the terrorists’ whereabouts. Wasting no time he attacked the camp, killed Hisbul Mujahidin’s supremo and in the process lost his life to the bullets fired from an AK47. He is survived by a wife and daughter (just like Sanjay Dutt) who’s only 18 months old.

Major Manish never said ’I have a daughter’ before he took the decision to attack the terrorists in the darkest of nights. He never thought about having a family and he being the bread earner. No news channel covered this since they were too busy hyping a former drug addict, a suspect who’s linked to bomb blasts which killed hundreds. Their aim was to show how he defied the TADA charges and they were so successful that his conviction in possession of armory had no meaning. They also concluded that his parents in heaven must be happy and proud of him.

Parents of Major Manish are still living and they have to live rest of their lives without their beloved son. His daughter won’t ever see her daddy again. Finally Major Manish, to my generation is a greater hero, someone who laid his life in the name of this great nation.

So guys, please forward this message around so that the media knows which news to give importance, as it is a shame for us since this Army Major’s death news was given by a foreign TV channel!!!

And,this is from me,Savitha:
This has happened quite a long ago, yes!!!Most of us would have known this even earlier, yes!!!!
But,one question for my fellow ilanders: What are we going to do about it?Leaders like Manish do not die for X or Y.He died for the sake of the common man like you and me. I feel guilty, very guilty, and also feel socially responsible for the lives/livelihood of his wife and daughter. Given the information and freedom to do things, why don't we try to support them,if not financially(they would not accept that), atleast morally,to support them, reach out to them and say,"We are of the same brethen,we are beside you".....But,I don't know how to reach out...........Please Ilanders, let's do something ............I am feeling a desperate helplessness at this moment.........

Waters and life.....................

Awesome and ridiculous.......
Are the flow.....
For a while,
Across mountains......
Plainlands.....
Valleys....
Gaining strength and valour
To move up again too................

It's the survival of a few
Certain times a hue....
Nourishes life around....
Unexpectedly,erodes the ground!!!
The course alters.........
Bound by law,or wilfully,
Similar though......
Be it rivers or human life!!!!!

Salute to the resurging people after the treasured loss!!!!!!

I swim.......
Through the ocean,
With plenty of water around.....
Not a drop of it to wet my thirsty throat,
Pale do I grow,
As I struggle to reach my destiny....
Ailing heart,Painful peel,
Tears to tear my soul.....
-All unseen/unheard by the brackish waters
Oh,once a moment the skin aches....
It's a whale,a shark or a fish
Trying to satiate on this trodden flesh!!!!
Yet with brimming hope and faith,
I do stand-waiting.........
For the outstretched arm,
All with,but a heartening Ooph!
My dream,my destiny,where are you??
Lost is the hope,my benevelont hope,
For my breaths are held,by the malevolent deep sea..........
My dear,Reach out and hold,
This living flesh covering my dead soul,
And lead me to where I am predestined!!!!!!!!!!!
Lost at heart,
Yet,craving for life............
Resurging our strength,
Indian citizens........................
